UMass Amherst Foundation | Soil and Water Conservation Society - UMass Chapter

At SWCS meetings, we strive to increase student exposure to professionals who actively conduct research in the conservation field. To provide an appealing environment for student participants to meetings, our chapter advisor, Dr. Timothy Randhir, has gone out of his way to use funding from his own projects to pay for food from a local eatery. Future meetings, which could involve field trips to sites of conservation interest near Amherst, could also benefit from funding in terms of allowing students access to materials such as field guides. As we do not receive funding for these purposes from the international SWCS organization or UMass itself, we feel that sourcing such funding from the UMass community is an option which better ensures the longevity of the chapter.

FAQ

I can't find the fund/designation I want to support. What do I do?

Under the Fund Designation field, select "Other" from the very bottom of the list. This will open a text box where you can write in any fund/designation you would like to support.

Can I support multiple areas of campus with one gift?

Yes. To make one gift that supports multiple areas of campus select the "Add a Gift to this Donation" drop-down menu. If you don't see this option, select the "Other" option at the very bottom of the Fund Designation list and provide the full breakdown of your desired designations in the Special Gift Instructions or Comments box on the donation page. If there is no "Other" option in the Fund Designation list, write your gift breakdown in the Comments box, and we will distribute your gift as indicated.

Can I make my gift anonymously?

Absolutely. To make a gift anonymously, simply note your preferences in the "Special Gift Instructions or Comments" box at the bottom of the giving form.

Can I make my gift via PayPal or another e-wallet option?

Yes! After filling out the giving form, you will be able to complete your donation via PayPal, Venmo, credit card, or Apple Wallet.

Will I receive a receipt for my contribution?

Yes! The UMass Amherst Foundation will send you a receipt, via email, shortly after you make your gift.

Will my contribution be tax-deductible?
