UMass Baseball – Fundraising Priorities (Details provided by Coach Shileikis & Coach Weir)
Locker Room Enhancements – The team spends more time in this space together than anywhere else. Upgrades to player spaces, audio/video, branding and the overall aesthetic will help foster pride, team unity and an environment that reflects the culture of UMass Baseball.
Technology - Investing in advanced player-development technology will provide critical data and metrics to help both our pitchers and our hitters. Last year, through this campaign, we were able to purchase a Trackman Ball Flight/Pitching Monitor for the program. Many of the technology pieces we use throughout the year require an annual subscription and we use fundraised dollars through the Diamond Club to offset those costs.
Team Equipment – Annual upgrades to add Hack Attack pitching machines, used for both offensive and defensive drills, as well as adding and upgrading screens, surplus baseballs, and other training tools (bands, plyos, water bags, training gloves and bats, and more).
One generous donor has already stepped up with a $25,000 match, giving us the opportunity to create $50,000 in total impact for the baseball program for the 2026 season should we activate the entire match! Any support beyond the cost of the priorities listed above will be reinvested into the baseball program to help supplement their annual budget.
