Gifts made to the Maroon Excellence Fund have an immediate impact on all 650 student-athletes at UMass. Maroon Excellence Fund Unrestricted giving to the Maroon Excellence Fund provides the essential elements needed to recruit and retain student-athletes who can be competitive in the classroom and in competition. Gifts made to the Maroon Excellence Fund have an immediate impact on all 650 student-athletes at UMass as these vital resources are spent on: Enhancement to Academic Support Behavioral Health & Wellness Sports Performance Sports Medicine Student-Athlete Development Facilities Academic Support Unrestricted funds raised have already increased the number of full-time academic support staff and allow for the purchase of state of the art technology to aid student-athletes in the pursuit of academic excellence such as interactive multi-touch flat panel displays to project educational platforms, touchscreen all in one computer stations, and moveable smartboard. These new educational tools will be used in the redesigned and expanded Bob and Marianne Foote Academic Enhancement Center which will provide private study and tutorial suites as well as private meeting areas for students and counselors. Behavioral Health & Wellness Unrestricted funds raised will go toward developing and implementing a state of the art Mental and Behavioral Health and Wellness Program to improve student-athlete performance with learned specific psychological mechanisms to overcome mental hurdles. Funding a new position, a Sports Psychologist, will be a priority for this programming. Sports Performance Strength & Conditioning Unrestricted funds have already aided in the support of additional staff in this area which have been instrumental in our strength development and injury prevention for our student-athletes. Other areas of focus will be the enhancement of the Boyden Weight Room and the purchase of new strength and cardio training equipment and the installation of a new sprint and agility area. Sports Medicine Unrestricted funds have already aided in the support of additional staff in this area who are providing better and more individualize health care for our student-athletes. Future funding will go toward self-contained cold and warm plunge pools for the Boyden Athletic Training Room. These pools will allow our approximately 400 student-athletes who utilize Boyden as their primary athletic training room to enhance their recovery process from training and workouts. This in turn will increase performance in competition. Student-Athlete Development Unrestricted funds raised help provide guidance to our student-athletes’ personal and professional growth for life after UMass. The customized programming focuses on individual growth and career development through career fairs, etiquette dinners, an online mentoring platform, e-learning, career internships/job placement and professional speaker series. Facility Enhancements Unrestricted funds raised have already provided for a central gathering place for student-athletes in the Varsity M Lounge. Future funds will help with the renovation of the Boyden Academic Space, the Boyden Weight Room, locker room upgrades, and enhancements to indoor and outdoor training and competition spaces.
Massachusetts Rowing - Championship Ring Campaign
Support UMass Rowing! The UMass Rowing program is incredibly proud of our 2026 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championship season. This remarkable achievement was the result of the hard work, discipline, and commitment our student-athletes demonstrated every single day throughout the year. Our team made history by capturing UMass' first conference championship since 2017 and the 17th conference title in program history. On championship day, the Minutewomen swept all five races—including the Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8, Varsity 4, Third Varsity 8, and Second Varsity 4—to earn the MAC Championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. To commemorate this historic season, we are raising funds to provide each member of our championship team with a 2026 MAC Championship Ring—a lasting symbol of their dedication, teamwork, and unforgettable accomplishment. Each championship ring costs $250, and every contribution helps ensure our student-athletes receive a keepsake they will treasure for years to come. These rings represent far more than a championship. They honor the early mornings, countless hours of training, perseverance through every challenge, and the bonds forged throughout a season that will forever be part of UMass Rowing history. No gift is too small. Every donation makes a difference and brings us one step closer to recognizing these remarkable student-athletes for their historic achievement. Thank you for supporting UMass Rowing and for helping us celebrate our 2026 MAC Champions!
Massachusetts Women's Lacrosse - Championship Ring Campaign
Support UMass Women's Lacrosse! The UMass Women's Lacrosse program is proud to celebrate an incredible championship season as the 2026 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Regular Season and Tournament Champions! In our first year as members of the MAC, the Minutewomen made history by capturing both conference titles, capping the season with a commanding 15-3 victory over Akron in the MAC Championship Game. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication, resilience, and commitment our student-athletes displayed every day throughout the season. We are raising funds to provide our team with MAC Championship Rings—a lasting symbol of this historic accomplishment and the unforgettable journey that led us to the title. Each championship ring costs $250, and your generosity will help ensure every student-athlete and member of our championship program receives this meaningful keepsake. These rings represent far more than a championship victory; they honor the countless hours of preparation, the sacrifices made, and the bond that brought this team together. Whether you choose to sponsor an entire championship ring for $250 or make a gift of any amount, every contribution brings us one step closer to recognizing this extraordinary team and preserving a piece of UMass Women's Lacrosse history. Thank you for supporting UMass Women's Lacrosse and for helping us celebrate a championship season that will be remembered for years to come. Go UMass!

Help Honor the Legacy of Curry Hicks Cage
Massachusetts XC/TF Curry Hicks Cage holds a special place in UMass history—having served generations of student-athletes and fans, it's more than just a building; it's a symbol of pride, tradition, and perseverance. As part of the $8M renovation project to transform the Cage into the Jim and Ellen Hunt Indoor Performance Center, we have a unique opportunity to ensure that legacy is preserved for years to come. We are launching a targeted campaign to raise $250,000 for additional branding and recognition elements that will celebrate the rich history of the Cage. These enhancements will help tell the story of the past while inspiring future generations of Minutemen and Minutewomen. Alums and friends are encouraged to support this effort. Five-year pledges and naming opportunities starting at $25,000 are available, and those who contribute $1,000 or more will be recognized on the alumni wall inside the new facility. The renovated facility will become one of the top indoor training centers in the Northeast, exclusively serving our men’s and women’s cross country and track and field programs. It will feature a two-level design with a track-specific surface, space for jumps and throws, a sprint straightaway, and a second-level running track with room for non-impact training. To learn more about how you can help leave a lasting mark on this historic space, please contact Ryan Boudway at rboudway@uma-foundation.org.
