The Drive for 5!

Dear UMass Men's Soccer Family:

Greetings from the UMass soccer office and thank you for visiting our site!

We are coming off a 2018 season that saw us earn our fourth-consecutive Atlantic-10 playoff birth. In doing so, our senior class became only the second class in UMass history to make the playoffs in each of their years on campus. However, there is more history to be made! As we look into the 2019 season, we will endeavor to help UMass Men’s Soccer make history again by advancing to the Atlantic-10 playoffs for the fifth consecutive year, something that has never been done in the history of our program.

As we Drive for 5, your support is crucial to our future success and for us to maintain competitiveness on a consistent basis. With your past help, we have experienced some great success, but we are not finished yet. We need your help each year as we continually strive to do better. We aim to consistently compete for Atlantic-10 Championships and NCAA tournament appearances. 

Our past success would not have been possible without support from all of you. Your generosity has seen us upgrade our program in a host of areas. Thanks to you, UMass soccer is now at the forefront of pre and post-game recovery having recently invested heavily in the cutting edge NormaTec rapid recovery system. Postgame recovery is of immense importance as we often play three games in the span of eight days. Because of you, we have also gained a competitive advantage due to the nutrition station that we are now able to provide our student-athletes. Your gifts have also assisted in helping us recruit nationally and internationally. 

Against this backdrop, I am asking for your continued support to help us keep pace with and ultimately surpass our competition. You have my assurance that every penny raised stays within the men's soccer program and helps improve the overall experience of our current UMass squad.

• Catapult Tracking System (performance monitoring)
• Improvements and renovations to facilities (practice field and locker-room upgrades)
• Integrate best practices in sports psychology, nutrition, and preventive and recovery therapies
• InStat video analysis and Recruiting System
• New initiatives for student-athlete enrichment, well-being and career placement (Annual Alumni Mentoring Night)
• Success in recruiting the next generation of great student athletes

Our alumni and fan support makes a difference in helping UMass Soccer get where we should be: competitive and successful on all fronts.
