Chinese Music Association

The University of Massachusetts Chinese Music Association (韶华社，CCA) is an officially recognized student organization affiliated with the Graduate Student Senate. It aims to inherit the past and the present, and to display Chinese culture and demeanor to people from all over the world. Despite calling UMass Amherst our home, CCA also welcomes locals to attend our events, and we frequently travel to other cities and states to perform. Instead of sticking to traditional folk music performances, CCA combines western musical instruments with conventional Chinese national musical instruments to adapting classical music. CCA's abundant Neo-traditional Chinese content brings a visual and auditory feast to interested friends near and far.

Currently, many of the expenses (costumes, decorations, creative activities) come out of pocket. If not for the passion of our members, we would have significantly less to offer at our events. Help us make our events bigger and better! The funding that we obtain from this fund will go to: venue, decorations, catering, transport, and advertisement. We very much appreciate your support, and we will work hard to publicize and popularize Chinese culture!
