Please help fund our dance program’s FIRST EVER performance on the UMass Fine Arts Center Main Stage on January 25, 2019
REFLECT/RESPOND: A Limón Dance Legacy Concert - 7:30 PM, Fine Arts Center Concert Hall
The renowned José Limón Dance Company presents their classic work "The Exiles" as part of an extended residency hosted by UMass Music & Dance. Members of the company will also join UMass and Five College dance students in performing Limón's masterpiece, "Choreographic Offering." Additionally, UMass and Five College dancers will present a new work by critically acclaimed choreographer David Dorfman as a reflection/response to "Choreographic Offering."
Your generosity will allow the dance department to develop and sustainable and collaborative relationship with the UMass Fine Arts Center. This would allow us more performance opportunities in the future that would give our dance department much deserved recognition.
The UMass Amherst Department of Dance is a uniquely versatile program emphasizing excellence, diversity, and the transformative power of dance. You now are one step closer to getting to your dream of being apart of the onstage performance. Helping out backstage, you can get closer to the directors and choreographers and will be sure to be hired next audition!
Congratulations you've been hired! You have now started your working career as part of an ensemble on a Broadway show! You rock!
You're making it big here in New York City! Your talent and passion has now gotten you the lead role in the hit musical, "Chicago"! You are soaring past your goals and living your life. Keep up the good work!
You have now headed in a new direction, wanting to be in charge of the choreography in any show you please. You have won many awards for your outstanding choreography and are being hired to create more and more shows!
You now run the whole show. With your knowledge and passion for running a show, you have been hired to be in charge to put on a spectacular show. Everyone loves you and praises you for your brilliance! Great work!
