Men's Cross Country and Track & Field Locker Room Renovation

As the University of Massachusetts prepares to renovate the Cross Country and Track & Field locker room, we are engaging our track and field alumni to be a part of this special project.  Your contributions to the locker room renovation will have an immediate impact on today's student-athletes. Lockers are limited as there are only 55 available.

Goals of the project:

• To help recruiting in a period of limited scholarships

• To continue the ongoing mentorship program

• To recognize past alumni and honor their achievements

• To honor alumni who have passed

Locker Dedications: By making a $1,000 gift ($500 for class of 2017 student-athletes and recent alums*), you can dedicate a locker in the upgraded facility and secure a legacy in UMass Cross Country and Track & Field.  In recognition of your gift, a plaque (click here to view an example) will be prominently displayed in one of the lockers that will be used on a daily basis by current UMass student-athletes.  Your name, years of competition, events & times, and hometown (character limit may apply) will be displayed on the plaque, leaving a lasting impact on UMass Cross Country and Track & Field teams for years to come. Lockers can also be named in honor of championship teams, families, and alumni who have passed.

*PLEASE NOTE - The Foundation Board has agreed to match gifts made by those who graduated within the last 2 years (2015 and 2016), as well as any class of 2017 student. To qualify, the gift must be made by the recent graduate or current student).

In addition to providing new lockers, the overall general space will also be upgraded. An updated lounge will be created with couches and a large flat panel TV. A new Wall of Fame will also be created to recognize record holders and great performances throughout the program's history as well.

There are several naming opportunities available for those who are fortunate to help in a larger capacity:

• Block of lockers: $1,000 x number of lockers

• Room recognition: $10,000 - COMMITTED

• Alumni Locker Room: $50,000 - COMMITTED

Any and all money collected above and beyond the cost of the project will be used solely for the Men's Cross Country and Track & Field program.
