You can be the difference for UMass Amherst students who are struggling because of circumstances beyond their control. At UMass Amherst, we strive to give our students in need immediate support, making it possible for them to stay in school, remain focused on academic success, and graduate. Something as routine as an unforeseen car repair can keep a student from attending their internship, or being able to pay rent that month. Make a gift today to the Student Care and Emergency Response Fund, and provide a UMass Amherst student a lifeline during a difficult time.
At UMass Amherst, we make every effort to be there for our students when they need us. That is why UMass Dining has enhanced its No Student Goes Hungry policy and has made access to emergency meals more accessible through the Meal Plan Scholarship Fund. We invite you to support food security for our students by making a gift to the Meal Plan Scholarship Fund. For every $7 we receive, we will be able to provide one more meal for a deserving student.
In just one year, the Student Food Pantry at UMass Amherst distributed 2,513 pounds of food to over 200 students in need. The 119 undergraduate and graduate student volunteers organized donations and assisted their fellow classmates, keeping the pantry open 5 days a week and accessible to students who rely on it. Let’s make year two even better. Your gift today, on #GivingTuesday, will help the pantry offer more diverse food options, making it accessible to students no matter their dietary needs or allergies.
Support student scholarships at UMass Amherst and help provide our exceptional students with revolutionary access to an excellent education. As a college degree becomes financially out of reach for more and more students each year, you can make a huge difference in a student's life by supporting student scholarships. You can give to our General Scholarship Fund or direct your scholarship support to a specific school, college, or department.
