Who Are We?
Our club is the American Institute of Architecture Students, aka AIAS. We are an organization dedicated to giving architecture students resources and skills they need for the profession.
Our Chapter of AIAS has just started up our Freedom by Design program, which is a hands on community service part of AIAS that strives to help local communities problems with design solutions.
What is Our Project?
We are partnered with the local organization Stavros Center for Independent Living to help bring an accessibility ramp to a local family in need of a safe way of accessing their home. Stavros has built many accessibility ramps for those in need in the past, what our team will be doing is making sure even more of these get built!
As a part of our Freedom by Design program, our members will be aiding in the construction of the ramp. This gives us architecture students hands on real life experience while supporting a great cause at the same time.
What Donations Will Go Toward?
We are aiming to raise enough to cover the materials and contractor cost for one wheelchair accessible ramp. Any donations are greatly appreciated and are sure to make a lasting impact!
You are amazing! Finally, all of your hard work has paid off!
