Massachusetts Football

We are very excited to welcome Don Brown back to Amherst as the next leader of Massachusetts Football. 

We have recently set out to generate a healthy reserve fund that our next leader can use to take this program to new heights. Our tremendous fundraising success has generated a reserve of just over $800,000 that will support student-athlete experience initiatives and supplement football coaching salaries. This has come through a combination of gifts to the Gridiron Club and multiple-year investments to our football excellence fund.

As we launch a new era with Coach Brown, our goal is to get our fund totals to $1,000,000. We have set a target of December 15, 2021 – which also happens to be the first day of early football signing period. 

There has never been a greater need for support to UMass Football. It’s time to build a competitive program the Commonwealth can be proud of. This is a great opportunity to show our collective commitment to moving this program forward.
