Sisters on the Runway 12th Annual Fashion Show
Sisters on the Runway (SOTR) is a national nonprofit organization that is student-run with different school chapters. Our mission is to raise awareness of domestic violence issues. We also try our best to be representative (of all bodies, all races, all genders, all sizes, all religions, etc.) in order to promote positive body image and empowerment.
Each year the UMass Amherst Chapter holds an annual red carpet fashion show, which over 400 people attend. We give all the proceeds that we have raised throughout the year and from the show to a local domestic violence shelter named Safe Passage located in Northampton, MA. According to Safe Passage, over the past 10 years, we have raised $30k for them from our fashion show. This incoming school year will be our 12th year running as a chapter.
The show this year is on Sunday, April 10th, 2022. Give today to help us get what we need in order to put on the show! Help us reach our goal this year!!
The funding that we get goes to decorations, lighting, runway rental, catering, red carpet rental. We would love it if you could help us follow through with our mission of producing another successful show. You're all invited!
