SUPPORT Indian Students' Association ORGANIZE THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS - DIWALI

We at the Indian Student Association plan to organize a grand event “Diwali Night” on 29th October 2022. We aim to spread this cultural celebration among all students at UMass. This event will be a good opportunity for the extensive diaspora of Indian students, faculty, and staff across the campus to come together, socialize and blend in with people across linguistic, communal, and geographical boundaries. With this event, we want to bring out the rich cultural diversity and strengthen the ties between Indians and all other cultures on campus.

We plan to showcase the Indian culture with various dance and musical performances during this event, performed by graduate students of UMass and multiple RSOs, followed by an authentic Indian Dinner. This event has over the years had tremendous success and we expect this year's event to surpass all expectations.
