UMASS BSU NEEDS YOUR HELP
The Black Student Union is committed to serving, representing, and advocating on behalf of students of color and addressing issues that affect the community we live in. Through our various programming we provide spaces for these students to come together and form a community on a campus that does not always represent them.
The BSU was established in September of 1987 on the campus of UMass Amherst. Since its establishment, the organization has represented all of the cultures included in the African Diaspora. We are dedicated to creating an organization and forum that exhibits the beauty, creativity, and struggle that these diverse groups have to share with all of the UMass community.
Support the Black Student Union by helping us meet our Fall 2022 fundraising goal! Donations will contribute to BSU initiatives including campus wide events and programming such as Skate-a-thon, Black History Month Showcase, Hot U Semester & more.
