Dear Fellow UMass Hockey Alumni,
This past October Head Coach Greg Carvel announced plans to upgrade the current Video Breakdown & Coaches Locker Room.
The goal is to turn this area into a high functioning video, editing and teaching room that will be used by coaches during games to review strategy. During the week it will be utilized to work one on one with student-athletes through video sessions. The room also will serve as a first class space for coaches to meet with recruits and their families - making strong first impressions or helping someone commit to play for the Minutemen.
Amazing facility upgrades have been made over the last six years, this room is the last piece of the puzzle. Not just aesthetically, but more importantly, functionally. These upgrades are a necessity, allowing the staff and student-athletes access to the same level of technology/video/editing abilities that most other championship level programs in college hockey are working with.
Being an area that can truly impact the success of the program, I approached the athletic department with the idea of setting a fundraising goal and naming the facility in honor of all of us - UMass Hockey Alumni. It is our goal to have as many of you participate in this project as possible. Every gift, no matter the size makes a difference! We want all of you to play a role in this initiative. With this in mind, please join me in making a one-time gift and help us reach our goal of $100,000 to complete the UMass Hockey Alumni Coaches Locker Room.
Go UMass!
