Help Japanese students build their careers!

In our globalized age, fostering intercultural understanding is more urgent than ever. However, students of Japanese face a unique challenge - the misconception that AI can replace human translators, putting them at a disadvantage in the job market. To support our students in building their careers, the Japanese Program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is launching the Japanese Program Career Support MinuteFund.

Our goal is to raise $5000, enabling us to award one student a scholarship for a three-month internship in Japan during the summer of 2024. In today's job market, internships are crucial, but the high costs of airfare and housing often deter students from pursuing this valuable experience. With a $5000 scholarship, we can open this opportunity to students of all financial backgrounds.

While this scholarship benefits one student, our commitment to supporting our students' career development remains unwavering. The success of this MinuteFund will lay the foundation for future fundraisers and help shape the future of our students' careers and intercultural understanding. Join us in making a difference today!
