Help us keep SWE Accessible

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a non-profit, educational service organization, dedicated to stimulating women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders. We hope to expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life while demonstrating the value of diversity. The purpose of SWE UMass is to provide a support system for our over 450 members, increase their understanding of engineering, and enhance professionalism among our members. All our events and initiatives are provided to engineering students at little or no cost to them!

A key component of achieving these goals is our in-person attendance at the national conference for women in engineering and technology, hosted by the global SWE organization. This is a remarkably beneficial experience for our members as it provides attendees with opportunities tailored to early career professionals such as exploring cutting-edge technology with the use of hands-on showcases, as well as gaining industry insights and career opportunities. 

We need your help to fund this endeavor as traveling to these conferences is expensive due to transportation and lodging expenses. With this, we hope to take as many of our members as possible to Chicago in October to help provide women engineers and people interested in technology with opportunities they would not otherwise have access to.

We hope to provide at least 12 of our members with the opportunity to attend this conference to network with current and future industry innovators with the help of these funds. We are extremely grateful for any contributions that help us reach our goal!
