Please consider contributing to our fundraiser! UMSFS has been active since 1964, and we have a collection of over 8,000 sci-fi and fantasy books.
What we're facing:
Our library has been facing storage troubles ever since we were forced out of the Student Union during its renovations. Currently, our collection is wasting away in a Bartlett basement closet, but we hope to move them out to a more suitable storage area.
What we're doing:
We hope to use these funds to help rent/purchase off-campus storage (including travel expenses like a U-Haul if necessary) to hold these books indefinitely until we find a proper room. Additionally, these funds will provide for general club expenses, such as provisions for meetings and alumni reunions, updates to our library systems, and the creation of merchandise and accessories, among other uses.
