Help Support UMass Debate!

Hello Everyone,

The UMass Parliamentary Debate Society is a student organization that competes across the Northeast and beyond. We debate through the American Parliamentary Debate Association and compete against other universities in the United States. Our primary objective is to expose college students to collegiate debate and allow them to develop as public speakers.  As we prepare for our spring semester, we continue our efforts to raise funds to allow each member (incoming and current) equal opportunities, as each tournament has an expense. 

Through the Umass Minute Fund, we are raising funds for travel, tournaments, housing, and our Spring 2025 tournament at the University of Massachusetts Amherst! Participating in each tournament allows our team to forge relationships with Ivy League schools and other debate communities. It helps us lay the groundwork for sending teams to the debate league's national tournament later this spring.  If you can, please consider donating to our fund and being part of our team's success through your collaboration.
