Our Fundraising Goals

Any funds you donate contribute directly to our success in the Fall Mountain Bike season and Spring Road season. Each donation helps to support our teams' daily operations. We cover registration, licenses, transportation, food, gas and lodging for all our racers in order to make bicycle racing as accessible as possible.

We also operate beyond the scope of the race seasons and strive to make cycling affordable accessible and fun for everyone. In the future we hope to purchase and maintain a fleet of 6 loaner mountain bikes with all of the necessary protective equipment and tools. These bikes will be available to any racers who may need to borrow one as well as EVERY student at UMass Amherst. We hope to establish a curriculum and series of clinics that will teach anyone how to race, but more importantly, simply enjoy the sport of cycling.

Finally, every race season we have the opportunity to qualify for National Championships. During the fall 2024 MTB season 4 racers qualified but were unable to compete due to financial constraints. National Championships have greatly increased registration fees compared to normal season races and typically occur in a distant location. As a team our goal is to be able to pay for airfare, bike shipping, car rentals, food, lodging and other travel expenses related to competing in the national championships.
