Help us raise money to install a bird-friendly adhesive to the north side of the atrium on the Studio Arts building. Every year, millions of birds die by colliding with reflective glass windows. UMass student, Margaret Lepeshkin created a design for this space that allows the birds to see the wall of glass and avoid such collisions. These installations have been proven to dramatically reduce bird-deaths by window collisions. Your help with this project is an important step towards making UMass Bird Friendly!
Help us meet our goal to save these sweet birds who keep us company through the long New England winters.
According to our data, the American Robin is the second most common bird to die on campus from colliding with our windows. Help us protect this harbinger of spring!
Have you seen a cedar waxwing? These gorgeous birds have perfected the art of eyeliner, while touches of brilliant red and vivid yellow brighten up the delicate browns and greys of their bodies' feathers.
These majestic hunters regularly nest on the DuBois Library and we can watch their chicks grown on the falcon cam. Sadly, several falcons have died colliding with windows on campus. Help us protect this beautiful bird.
This tiny bird is a joy to watch as it flits from flower to flower feeding on nectar while it pollinates the plant. A true gift to the garden!
