Support UMass Ukrainians

UMass Ukrainians was created in 2025 to give Ukrainian and Ukrainian-American students a safe home on campus, to share Ukrainian culture, language, and history with the wider UMass community. In our first year, we grew to 45+ members, hosted bi-weekly meetings, and held culturally significant events such as an Easter egg painting event. We are re-registered as an official Registered Student Organization (RSO) at UMass for 2026, so the club is here to stay.

This year, we’re planning meetings that bring Ukrainian culture to the whole campus, and your gift would help make them happen:

• Cultural nights: a Ukrainian poetry night, a dance night, and a Christmas gathering (вечорниці, vechornytsi)
• Hands-on workshops: motanka doll making, and a short presentation on a famous Ukrainian artist where we try to recreate their work
• Social nights: Ukrainian card games, trivia about Ukraine, and movie nights in English or with English subtitle
• Outreach: Networking opportunities with Ukrainian business leaders & creating posters about the club and Ukraine, and a bake sale at the farmers market

Another goal of our organization is to fundraise for the Ukrainian army. We created this page to cover our club’s basic operating costs and every additional dollar we raise will go directly to the Ukrainian soldiers fighting for Ukrainian freedom (through the Return to Life Foundation https://savelife.in.ua/). Your contribution helps cover our club's needs and maximizes our help for Ukraine. We appreciate your support.

Слава Україні!
