Hi everyone,
We wanted to update you all on where we stand with our fundraising efforts thus far. Our fundraiser at Lit this past Thursday was a HUGE success. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the team. We had over 150 people attend and were able to make $1,952! This is almost over $1,000 of our expected return! We also applied to the Student Government Association to ask for Emergency Funding in the amount of $4,000. After presenting to the senators, we were granted the $4,000. We are extremely grateful to the SGA for all they do for us and the fellow students of UMass.
The MinuteFund is also blowing us away. Currently sitting at $2,880 with one day left to go we are extremely grateful for the outpouring of support from all of our friends and family. Whether it was a donation via the MinuteFund or coming down to Lit on Thursday, we can not thank you all enough for the support for this team.
The team flies out of Logan tomorrow morning and begins pool play on Wednesday at 1:15 against Arizona State. You can watch all of our games via rollerhockeylive.com and we hope you can find some time to sneak that on to your computer at work!
Once again, thank you for everything that you do for this team. We are off to Nationals because of all of you and we are very grateful for your help.
