We started buying tickets to see shows at the Fine Arts Center because of the wonderful array of entertainment the FAC brings to the valley. We were able to see world-class performances by entertainers comparable to what we would find in Boston or New York City, close to home and at a fraction of the cost.
Over the years, we became subscribers, enjoying the perks that came along with that: discounts on tickets, access to the best seats in the house, and ticket-exchange privileges. After a while, we learned that our ticket purchases were covering only about 30 percent of the programming cost of bringing these performers to the FAC.
We also learned that the FAC provides artist outreach programs for students and the community which are funded only through private giving. Opportunities such as master classes for students, community events, and the ability to bring schoolchildren to see performances by amazing artists are only a few of the things that the FAC is able to offer, well over and above the ability of other local performance art venues.
We are Ian Fraser and Pam Bartlett, Northampton residents and long-time FAC subscribers and donors, and we’re here to challenge you to stretch your FAC support.
You are already a patron, so you know the quality of the FAC's offerings. Today, we’re asking you to make the stretch—become a Fine Arts Center donor as well. By sharing what is meaningful to you, you’ll make a difference in someone else’s life.
A gift to FAC supports its Arts/Access outreach programs. This means someone will receive an Angel ticket to attend a live performance, a child will have his first experience in a concert hall, a talented young musician will receive a summer Jazz in July scholarship.
Through this “MinuteFund” campaign, we ask you to make a gift at whatever level is comfortable for you. By doing so, you will share the joy you receive from the arts with others. Please make your gift now.
We appreciate your support and patronage.
See you next season @the FAC!
