On Dec. 1, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give back. #GivingTuesday is a wonderful day to give back to UMass Amherst, and for UMass to give back to the community!
The more donations we receive on #GivingTuesday, the more hours the Annual Fund Staff and students will spend volunteering. We will be volunteering our time at either Kate's Kitchen in Holyoke to serve the less fortunate or participating in Mass Impact to help better the UMass community. Students' votes will decide!
Here on campus we will be having a tabling event in the Campus Center to provide students, faculty, and staff another way to participate in #GivingTuesday. Contributing will allow them to vote, choosing between our two volunteering locations, and let them be a part of helping the community on this international day of giving!

EVERY donation will count towards the number of hours of volunteering the Annual Fund staff will contribute. More gifts=more hours of volunteer work!
The Student Philanthropy Committee will give you a personal shout out on their twitter page, so don't forget to enter your twitter handle in the special instructions box on the donation page or email it to knavin@umass.edu!
If you donate $50 or more you will receive a picture from anywhere on campus that you decide! Just send a simple request in the special instructions box or email knavin@umass.edu and you will receive a picture in an e-mail! We will also post a shout out on our twitter page to thank you if you add your twitter handle as well!
