The New2U Sustainable Move-Out Collection and Move-In Tag Sale

The New2U Sustainable Move-Out Collection and Move-In Tag Sale is a waste reduction program run by students and staff and supported by Facilities & Campus Services and many other partners across the campus. Volunteers and campus staff collect unwanted items like clothing, futons, lamps, and TVs during Move-Out, and resell these items during a Move-In tag sale. Now in it's tenth year, New2U is able to sell thousands of new or gently used items back to students, faculty, and staff at affordable prices in our new permanent location in Hampden Dining Commons! Since the program's inception, New2U has been able to divert over 100,000 pounds of items from being sent to a landfill.  

Valley Bike

Valley Bike, the electric, pedal-assist bike share network, servicing the residents and visitors of the Pioneer Valley relaunched on August 12, 2024. UMass has 5 stations on campus, as well as stations throughout the Valley. This is a great way for students to zip around campus making it easier to get to class or visit friends on and off campus. We recommend renting a bike to visit the surrounding towns and enjoy all that the 5 College Area has to offer. Take a ride on the Pioneer Valley Bike Trail and enjoy the scenery of Western Mass, enjoy local restaurants in surrounding towns or run some errands right down the road on Russell St. in Hadley. Pay as you ride, monthly, and other membership options available.
