Gifts to the Dean's Fund for Library Excellence supplements support for special needs and initiatives by underwriting special projects, capital improvements, exciting programs, state of the art equipment purchases, and the addition of notable materials or collections that could not be funded otherwise.  This allows the Dean to be proactive and reactive when unique opportunities arise

Gifts to Learning Spaces Fund allow the Libraries to transform and reimagine learning and study spaces to meet the needs of today's students.

Gifts to The Lester Grinspoon Fund for Drug Policy Collections support Special Collections & University Archives (SCUA's) ongoing efforts to preserve the history of a wide range of drug policy-related work and activism, including the movement to end cannabis prohibition. Grinspoon, whose papers are held by SCUA, was a founding father of the legalization movement and was responsible for groundbreaking research demonstrating the medical and social benefits of cannabis and other psychedelic drugs. Initial funds raised will enable SCUA to digitize Grinspoon’s writings, correspondence, and photographs, making all this material available freely online.

Gifts to the Open Educational Resources Initiative Gift Fund provide resources that support the creation, expansion and distribution of open educational sources to the greater UMass Amherst community and reduces high textbook costs directly lowering cost to students. 

Gifts to The Peer Leader Program Fund provide support to students working in the Libraries as part of the recognized Peer Leader Program. The Program provides students with a high-quality, enriching learning experiences based on highly relevant skills that directly contribute to their academic success.  Peer leaders provide a range of services in the Libraries ranging from technology support to academic referral and mentoring.  Peer Leaders are given extensive training and ongoing professional development opportunities that add to their own learning experiences while serving as a Peer Mentor.

Gifts to Robert S. Cox Special Collections Fund support projects and initiatives vital to the mission of Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA): enhanced access to collections through description and digitization, research support for fellows from across the country and internationally, and ongoing efforts to document the history of social change.

Gifts to the Science & Engineering Library Annual Support Fund provide annual support to the Science & Engineering Library. Funds may be used for all purposes, including payroll, as determined by the director and Dean of Libraries.
 

Gifts to Special Collections & University Archives enable the Libraries to acquire and preserve unique materials of enduring historical and cultural value, as well as make them freely and openly accessible to students, faculty, and researchers across the globe.

Gifts to Support the Libraries make resources, collections, technology, and research help and instruction available to students, faculty, staff and the general public. 

Gifts to the W. E. B. Du Bois Center connects students, educators, scholars, and the public through lectures, symposia, scholarships and collaborations, to share the vast intellectual resources associated with the sociologist, historian, civil rights activist and author W. E. B. Du Bois.
